When I was small I'd awaken some mornings to the sight of helium filled balloons on my ceiling. My father was a Hollywood photographer and after he'd go to a wealthy man's home for a photo shoot I'd be gifted with balloons. After becoming a mother this image came to mind. I had to paint "Gifts"... for they are.
